Canon Announced SX160 16X and SX500 30X Mega Zoom Digital Camera

I collect the information about the new Canon SX160 and SX500 for reference. Canon finally announced the SX160 16X (28mm to 448mm 35mm equivalent)and SX500 30X (24mm to 720mm in 35mm terms) mega zoom Digital Camera. The SX160 IS is  has 16x zoom (28mm to 448mm 35mm equivalent). The video mode allows for optical zooming while it’s recording.  It uses two AA-size batteries.  The list price is about US$230.
