Fuji Finepix XP170 Rating and Verdict (Source: http://www.pocket-lint.com)
The XP-series has carried an affordable price legacy. Until now. The XP170’s addition of Wireless Image Transfer hoiks this price point up beyond its XP150 predecessor, acquiring a more sizable £220 asking price.
But the XP170 sees no improvements in optical or image quality performance compared to its predecessor and, as a result, it lacks in the all-important camera department.
Yes it’s tough and waterproof and this aspect of the XP170 will serve any user well, and that, fundamentally, is why it justifies its score. But otherwise its pictures are below average, the shutter button feels stiff in use, the screen quality isn’t good enough and competitor models offer better autofocus.
Much of that might be forgivable if the XP170 maintained the more budget position of earlier models in the range. If Fujifilm is going to aim for a more technological user, it needs to back it up with the necessary quality. Sadly that lacks here.

Fuji Mega Zoom 20x Digital Camera F800EXR
Information of Fuji F800 EXR were collected from the web for reference only. F800EXR was announced in July 2012. It is a 20X mega zoom (25-500mm 35mm equivalent) compact digital camera.
- 16 mp CMOS sensor
- 3 inches LCD
- Wireless image transfer
- 20x zoom (25-500mm) with intelligent zoom up to 1000 mm
- Hgh-precision Molded Glass Aspheric Lens
- Combination of CMOS Shift and High ISO image stabilization,
- EXR AUTO 103 Shooting Patterns - EXR Auto with Motion Detection instantly recognizes 58 different scenes, automatically optimizes every setting from exposure to white balance, then switches to the ideal sensor mode for the scene and subject: HR High Resolution for well-lit conditions; SN High Sensitivity/Low Noise mode for low light; and DR Dynamic Range mode for high-contrast scenes.
- Anti blur
- Advanced Scene Recognition - Fujifilm's EXR AUTO with Night (tripod) capability virtually reduces subject blur in low light conditions. With the addition of Motion Detection, Intelligent Scene Recognition technology in EXR Auto mode automatically recognizes and optimizes white balance, focus, exposure and other settings for a total of 103 shooting patterns.
- NEW Advanced Filter - A selection of six special filters lets you create distinctive photo effects. Filter effects can be viewed on the LCD screen to ensure you get exactly the results you're shooting for.
- Motion Panorama 360
- Pro Focus Mode with Face Detection -This focus-bracketing mode emulates the gentle, out-of-focus background look of a DSLR when shooting portraits or macro subjects. A single press of the shutter first takes an exposure focused on the main subject, then additional exposures at different focus points**. This produces a final image emphasizing the sharply focused subject against a soft, out-of-focus background*
