Microsoft New Tablets Surface

Introduction

Windows 8 Pro and RT are the two new tablets from Microsoft. Surface will come in two flavors. The Windows RT model will only run the "Metro" version of Windows 8. The "Pro" model will run the full-featured version of Windows 8 and give you all the benefits of a desktop computer.  Surface is thin and light.  It has full size USB port and micro sd card slot. Surface has a 10.6", 16:9 widescreen HD Display. An ultra-wide viewing angle makes it easy to share watching video or any other contents. Intensity of the screen is auto adjusted.  It has a front and rear cameras. The Surface RT is a third lighter than the Windows 8 Pro and is nearly half a centimetre thinner too at 9.3mm compared to the Windows 8 Pro’s 13.5mm. Specification-wise, however, the two devices couldn’t be more different. The Windows 8 Pro has an i5 Ivy Bridge processor, and  Tegra 3 ARM architecture of the Windows RT.

There is not much information about the front and rear camera except it can take HD video at least.  It is not sure whether it is 720p or 1080p and the megapixel of these two cameras.

Blackberry Playbook Rating (Source:CNET)

3.5 stars out of 5 =75%
The good: RIM's BlackBerry PlayBook is a fast, powerful 7-inch tablet with HDMI output, advanced multitasking and security, and a browser that integrates Adobe Flash 10.2 for a desktop-style Web experience.
The bad: The 7-inch screen cramps the powerful browser; the wake button is difficult to push; and app selection trails the competition.
The bottom line: The BlackBerry PlayBook ably showcases RIM's powerful new mobile operating system, but its middling size diminishes many of its best features

Camera and Video

The TF300's rear 8-megapixel camera has an aperture of f2.2 and an LED flash that really comes in handy in low-light situations. The camera is quite good in accordance with Laptop Magazine. The camera has  panoramic feature and took about 3-5 seconds to stitch together all the images into one.  The rear camera also records 1080p HD video.  The front camera is 1.2 megapixel.  Below is the sample picture (Source: Engadget)

Asus Transformer Pad Hands on Reviews

Rating (Source: CNET)

CNET rate the Assus Transformer Pad TF300 4 stars out of 5 (Click here for details).

The good: The Asus Transformer Pad TF300's Tegra 3-induced performance more or less matches the Transformer Prime's and goes a step further with a better rear camera, faster Wi-Fi performance, a more responsive screen, and an actual (and official) GPS feature. Micro-HDMI and microSD return, as does the keyboard option. The $380 entry price makes the TF300 the best full-Android tablet value currently on the market.
The bad: The tablet's design isn't as thin, sturdy, or sexy as the Transformer Prime's and feels a bit hollow in comparison. The $150 keyboard dock is still $150. The screen isn't outside-friendly, like the Prime's.
The bottom line: Though it isn't as thin or as sturdy, the Asus Transformer Pad TF300 delivers Prime levels of performance at a more affordable price.
